"By Ishir!" exclaims Owain as he picks himself up from the ground. Knowing the companions will need to escape quickly or risk impalement on these spikes, he rushes forward again to viciously jab the Giak in its ribs with his staff, trying to help Mowyer break free. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2184355/

Owain didn't like being ignored. As his opponent ran past him to engage Mowyer, he jammed his staff into the back of the creature's right leg with a satisfying crunch. When the giak fell down, its helmet was knocked loose and Owain had a fatal shot at its exposed head.
Meanwhile, Mowyer fought as if possessed, rolling out of the way of the remaining giak and leaping atop the Kraan. The beast cried out in what sounded almost like indignation at having a human mount it. It flapped its mighty wings and tried to hit Mowyer with its beak, but the woman held on and raised her sword high for a killing stroke.
At that moment, there was a bright flash of light and a burst of electricity ran up the length of all the spires. Owain barely had time to shout in alarm before the electricity leapt from the spires to every living thing on the battlefield. He felt as if a hammer had slammed him in the chest, and then there was nothing.

MOwyer and Owain both get off hits, but that's the final round of this chapter. As you may have seen on the main boards, I'm beginning a large film project now. I will continue to update the game, probably at around the same pace I'm doing now. As for the next chapter, that will be up by Tuesday. I'll post EXP in your boards.
