Where is the NAK class found? Is it an RAR file? I can never get those open

Jumping into this conversation from the outside (and so speaking as Maerin, not Taden): Whether NAK as a whole regard themselves as superior to this being or that being is not exactly relevant here. Personally, I am of the view that the class is as broke as the Kai Lord class is (and I cannot and will not debate the justifications for doing so; I understand the intent was to create a class that could go toe-to-toe with a member of the Kai Lord class from a game mechanical standpoint). The question is not whether they would privately regard themselves as such (which is a readily-answered question, and has already been mentioned here) but whether or not one or two NAK individuals would waste their time and effort (and risk the success of their task as a result) by trying to explicitly impose their views on beings they obviously regard as lesser beings anyway. Particularly in circumstances where doing so is clearly not in their best interests. There is a line to keep in mind between 'arrogant evil' (where the NAK are certainly justifiable) and 'foolish evil'. I tend to be of the view that, even if there are 'foolish evil' NAK out there, two such would not have been sent into what is, at least for the time being, enemy territory. As mentioned, this is my completely OOC point of view. Taden has already drawn his own conclusions IC.

Allright, I decided to fast-forward your travel to Oakton. While I like playing out long travels, the Play-by-Post medium is not ideal for it, and I don't throw in encounters every day just for the sake of it. Hope it's allright Oh, and if you want to carry on with the NAK discussion, I suggest moving it to the thread about mechanics and settings, since it is about different interpretations of setting-specific issues.

Nope I'm done with this topic anyway. Threw in my two bits already. The whips and chains of my own game are calling, and I can only elude them for small periods of time.

So, what tactics did we discuss on the trip over? Bald faced walking around asking, or deception? If deception, what? Are we waiting for night to sneak up the walls?

Al, it's in Rising Sun 15 (PDF). There should be a link on either this forum or on TotS.

Well I agree with Slavey. Any further discussions or disagreements of how a NAK should act or who they swear their loyalty to, lets do it in Mechanics thread. Otherwise, this is how I'm playing my character, and my character only answers to Naar. Others are just fodders, even Darklords. But if my character has to report to a Darklord or lesser to complete his mission, he will go along with it as Slavey had mentioned.
Frankly, I'm getting a little annoyed here with this discussion. This is a ROLE PLAYING game! And I'm role playing my character as how I want it based on what I understand from the pdf file.
Going back to the game, I'm suggesting we perhaps go with disguise? I think me and SS should be able to handle that part unless our rolls are crappy. I'm not too sure about the rest. But as a group perhaps, skulking at night would be better.

invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1633972/Perception : 26 Perception roll to check surroundings for anything suspicious; people and environmental objects as well as just wanting to know the surroundings.

Given we need to keep as low a profile as possible when out in public, I would suggest for this part of the journey we rely on Dirac and Tadens local knowledge. Subtle enquiries into where we are heading and whats going on there can be gleaned from locals, Im sure.

SS, I agree. In this kinda circumstance, Dirac and Taden would have to lead for they know the area and people better. Subtle and all sneaky-like.

Matters are in hand, checks were already roled, and Slavey himself will basically answer using Dirac - I'm kinda stuck in production today, so might only be able to post onwards quickly at lunch

Just so you know, I had Diracs permission to speak for him to speed things up Oh, and in order to not cause too much confusion regarding the latest IC post: Dirac at least knows that a gen is a silver lune and a thicker is a gold lune. So if you still go by the standard coins, that would be 2,5 silver per horse (prad), and five silver for the wagon. You are also asked to go inside if you want food and lodging. Edit: And Hawk: No, you don't see anything that raise your suspicion. More than usual, that is

So if Dirac gives the man a normal lune that should cover the wagons, etc? And boy was i redundant with my last post

So if Dirac gives the man a normal lune that should cover the wagons, etc? And boy was i redundant with my last post Er, 'fraid not, it is one lune per horse and two for the wagon. To be honest, I've kind of lost count on how many animals you actually have with you. But in game money, it is 25 copper pieces per horse, and 50 copper for the wagon (I hope at least, just back from night shift and my math skill may be a bit lower than usual...). Bit expensive, I know, but that's what the man says.
