We'll see the welcome Dirac gets, can plant the seeds and maybe work some information gathering. Dirac really should have asked if Corwyn had some mindreading abilities to use, ah well!
Oh, Slavey, would i know that hand's name that greeted us on the way in?

Oh, Slavey, would i know that hand's name that greeted us on the way in? You vaguely remember him as just called Ratch. I assumed as I wrote the last posts that Taden went alone to the church, but you still have one chance to decide if anyone went with him.

Pilgrim Taden and merchant Corwyn is fine, with his two "guards" (SS and HB) with Dirac as a "local guide". Thats how I envisioned it. Dirac is taking the lead as he is the local face and is known around these parts. Him "guiding some travellers" on their way to wherever we're going seems the most plausable story, rather than lump Dirac as another guard. As for splitting up, Im generally not in favour of a group splitting, but Im sure Taden knows what he's doing

At first, I thought about making separate threads, but it would soon get too cluttered. I think you guys can be trusted enough as roleplayers so your characters in one group don't know what the other group is doing

Well, if a group splits for whatever reason, usually its done in at least a pair. Besides, I dont think Taden is suddenly gonna fall into an underground church catacomb filled with skellies and get himself perished And Im sure he'll come back and tell us about the cottage rather than going off to investigate it on his own....

Shouldn't last too long, I expect. I certainly don't plan on finding religion any time soon.

Given Dirac's previous history, I think guard is actually fine, but yes I played him as driving the direction of the merchant as a guard who knows the area too. Glad my less talkative character is managing to stay the sullen, silent type. Then again, he's a buccaneer so I was also going to make allowances for him being a much more open soul when 'off duty'. So I guess he's been drunk and disorderly in this inn before, and hence would be more talkative to Greasy than to his fellows I think the way the narrative is split is fine. I think you only need separate threads if a battle or major action section happens. After all, Dirac might just as easily have not reported everything he said to Greasy

And poor HE, we might want to slow down a little so he can catch up!

Corwyn is wearing a magical Helrobe, so he doesn't get much choice in wearing finery, even in bad weather The other thing we never stopped to ask was how many of us were telepathic!

Well I'm sure I didn't miss much...
PS : It's HB not HE!

I even thought HB, I guess I typed HE! If we split up, Dirac would have asked dif there was any way to communicate...but we didn't so he didn't

Did my perception roll get lost, or did I simply not get around to making it? Perception on the inn's occupants (1d20 8=25)Hmm, nice to get good rolls early to establish a reputation, but chance means I'll get terrible ones later when it actually counts! Edit: Just to clarify about the money, that was my full belt pouch I dropped onto the counter as a tab, pretending it was the merchants. Rooms should also come out of that, although of course Taden will have to figure out his room himself, unless Corwyn generously offers 'his' money

Besides, I dont think Taden is suddenly gonna fall into an underground church catacomb filled with skellies and get himself perished Er... No, of course not! That was not what I had planned at all, honest! *makes hasty edit of game notes* Nah, don't worry, I may be a traditionalist, but just occasionally you might find a graveyard that is not infested by undead My word, seems I have a lot of posts and PM:s to write now. I am trying to squeeze in my posts between working, eating and sleeping right now, so I'm sorry if I've missed anything. I'm free next week. And Hawk, sorry if I moved too fast for you, but so far it is mostly Dirac and Taden who has to do the talking anyway, so I thought I could speed things up a bit. I'll get right to the postings then.
