"Thats what we want to know to!"
Gregor keeps a firm grip on his spear as he looks up and down the hallway.
"We should investigate, just to make sure." Gregor walks down the hallway towards the stairs. As he walks past the mercenary, he turns his head to try and glance into the mans room.
basically as I walk past the room, Im looking but not stopping walking, so just like glancing my head over his shoulder if I can.[/color]

Meldoac scrambles around the bed for a weapon, before he realises where he is. He assumes some odd dream from odd conversations has prickled his sub-consciousness. Perhaps it is the penalty for going to bed sober, having nursed a single spirit all evening. However, when Meldorac hears movements around, he realises the scream was real. The man moves as slowly as possible around the room, gathering his clothes and belongings and dressing slowly. Partially he does not wish to show he is awake to his fellows, partially he wishes to hear any conversations opposite, and partially he wants to ensure he does not forget any of his items and leave them in the room. After slowly bringing his possessions and appearance together, Meldorac creeps to the door and puts his ear to it, listening to any further noises and conversations to assess wheat exactly is happening. OOC: Combination move stealthily and listen (1d20=15, 1d20=3, 1d20=9, 1d20=18) Skill check does exactly what it says on the tin!

Owain follows Gregor, partly to put some distance between himself and the mercenary in case he turns hostile, but also to investigate the noise.

Bonnie is awoken by the scream. She ponders if perhaps she needs rest better than she needs to investigate the scream, but she does drag herself out from the bed and start to dress in her Border Ranger uniform while listening for sounds outside.
Once she has everything ready she steps to the door, removes the chair which she had placed under the handler and opens the door into the corridor.
I guess Bonnie will not be the first to come out into the corridor. She stays still and quiet saying nothing while she assesses the situation. (Who are in the corridor? In which directions are people going? What are people saying?)
OOC: Please advice if you need any more details or checks.

Gregor, and Owain traveled down the hallway together. The mercenary was close behind them, blade still drawn. Further down the corridor, Bonnie Sommer emerged cautiously from her room, looking somewhat tussled but bright eyed and alert. Meldorac remained in his room, listening at his door to try and discern what was going on in the hallway.
Below them all, loud footfalls could be heard, probably belonging to the innkeeper, who had no doubt been roused by the commotion.
Not much else to say right now. What do you guys do?

I think you've mis-understood - Meldorac didn't leave him own room! He was listening at his own door to hear what was happening outside
Zipp: Ah, okay. Changed.

A tall, thick-set gentleman with shoulder-length brown hair and dressed in a dusty, hooded Herbalish robe comes blundering up the stairs. At his belt is an ornate sickle and a couple of belt pouches, whilst the battered-looking backpack he is wearing looks like it has just borne the brunt of a recent nocturnal rainstorm.
"What's going on?" he says, looking around at the commotion. "I'm a healer!"

Taking a deep breath, Owain risks a look inside the room he thinks the scream came from.

The innkeep is right behind the newcomer, wringing his hands and talking in a high voice about fools who travel under Ishir's Foulness. It takes a moment for everyone to get their bearings with the sudden arrival of the herbalish, but eventually Owain makes his voice heard above the questions, proclamations, and the cursing of the innkeep:
"Er... the door is locked."
Pushing his way past the crowd, the innkeep comes to the end of the hall, where he fumbles with a set of keys in the dim light of the corridor. When he opens the door, however, he beckons to Owain to investigate first, apparently not eager to meet the source of the scream.
The inside of the room was dark. The stench coming from the room was overpowering. Taking hold of a lantern offered by the innkeep, Owain peered into the gloom, keeping one hand at his nose. It didn't take him long to discover the source of the smell. The elderly merchant was propped up in his bed, one hand gripping his chest, the folds of fat on his face contorted into a look of pure terror. In his death, his bowels had voided the contents of his large meal from the night before.

As a healer, Owain realises he must determine the cause of death if he is able. Surely the plague cannot have struck Holmgard so soon? If it has, his mission could have failed before it has even begun. However, widespread panic would bring its own dangers. "Lock this door behind me and let none enter," Owain tells the innkeeper. The priest pauses for a moment, closes his eyes and silently prays to Ishir for protection, then steps into the room to begin his examinations.

Before I lock you in, I want to give the others a chance to insist on joining you, especially as we now have another Healer on the team.

"I must join you, friend," says the Herbalish. "Whatever has done that may still be waiting for a lone soul to ambush again."

I wasn't sure if Owain would have noticed Michael's arrival in the general confusion.

Gregor leans on his spear and takes a deep breath as the Herbalish passes by and enter the room with Owain. Looking at the assembled faces, he can see the apparent confusion and aperhension in them all. He chuckles and comments in the hopes of lightening the mood.
"Well inkeep. I guess I wont be asking you for the recipe for that kidney pie!"

Meldorac quietly exits his room, seeing the rest are not far enough away and clustered around one of the other rooms. He makes his way nonchalantly to the back of the group to see what is occurring.
"Does anyone know the direction the merchant came from?" asks Meldorac to the group at large.
