'This', thinks Meldorac to himself, 'is not good news.'

Gregor sighs and throws his head back, then gets to his feet.
"Well, so much for the rest! Guess we're on the move then....."

"If some of you have the means to communicate this back to your Guild please do so," Bonnie says.
She starts to break camp. "Better wet than dead."

Packing up camp, the companions ventured from their cover back into the rain. Fortunately, by this time (around 5:00pm) the storm was showing signs up breaking up, and though it was still very wet, visibility had improved significantly. A bit of sun even began to poke through the clouds at odd times, casting the rain in a clear dappled light that turned the border of the Wildlands into a surreal environment.
After an hour's travel down the road, there had been no signs of pursuit. One nice thing about the rain, as Bonnie noted, was that it would help mask the party's smell from Doomwolves, especially if they had already been put on the wrong track, as Owain and Trenton claimed.
As if acknowledging that they were, for the moment at least, safe, the rain finally let up. Everyone seemed to breath a sigh of relief, but safety would not be had for long.
Okay, that's the end of scene 1. Let's award experience. After deliberation, we're going to give skill points the honor of being this scene's EXP award, since it was skill that ultimately kept the enemies off your trail. So take your skill stat in EXP. Also, Bonnie, Michael, Gregor, and Meldorac get +1 EXP for making camp and defending it, and Owain gets +2 for succesfully leading the enemy astray with a series of good rolls in the jungle, as they say.
I think that's all I have to say. Spend EXP if you wish, and we'll see you all tomorrow with Scene 2: An Arrow Splits the Road
