After doing a bit of small talk Jynx turned the conversation back on the Swamplord's attacks by saying, "It was a shame that Pheona had to suffer from the Swamplord." Jynx took a drink from her goblet, "However, I can understand the reasoning and motives behind rushing to save Garthan and the Queen. Trindles might be careful thought. I remember that it was her who put Ketmes in Pheona and she would be a bit unhappy if she ever finds out what exactly happened here at the citadel."

GM OOC: I editted my post to accomodate Jynx's late edit to her post. I allowed it because it changed nothing of Lord Sajhrin's response.
Sajhrin waved a hand dismissively.
“Oh no, Lady Jynx. Thanks to your companions, Phoena did not suffer at all from the Swamplord. Not one of my people died in the monster’s attack. Few, indeed, were even hurt. There was some damage of a section of the city wall. However, to be perfectly honest with you, our city wall as a whole is still in dire need of repair. One more section, more or less, means nothing. It was altogether an affair that went far better than I had feared it would.
“And then the Swamplord did not return here, but instead attacked Garthen. Even though it was defeated there without much cost to the soldiers of Her Majesty, I cannot think how we here could have come out any better, when all was said and done.
“As for what Her Majesty might think?" Lord Sajhrin said with a wide smile. “Really, Lady Jynx, what do I care what Her Majesty might think. She is no longer my sovereign, remember? She abdicated her sovereign duty when she imposed that butcher Ketmes on all of us. She surrendered any right to govern us when she abandoned us to the Ogians, as you and I spoke before. Queen Evaine can rot in her Citadel. By the time she sends any soldiers north, I and my allies will be safe enough from her tyranny.
"As for her finding out about Trindlas' aid to me and mine in eliminating Lord Ketmes and saving this city from his treachery? Well," Lord Sajhrin winked. "I seriously doubt that Trindlas is going to tell her. And why would I?"
As Sajhrin finished speaking, Ilia walked across the courtyard, now in her human shape, to rejoin them.

Ilia prepared herself to keep a polite, straight face through whatever the Lord choose to say as she stood in his presence. She wanted to make some gesture to the Lady that they should leave sooner rather than later, but did not want to interrupt their conversation.

Jynx grinned at Lord Sajhrin's wink. "Indeed." She then stood up. "I thank you for all the help that you've given us in our time of need Lord Sajhrin. I do hope that I can return the favor somehow in the future." She then held out her hand, "Whether it be for work or pleasure..." She smiled, "... or both, I will surely keep in touch with you Lord Sajhrin."
When they were left alone, Jynx told Ilia about what was said in the conversation with Sajhrin. With that Jynx made preparations with the druidess for their departure out of Pheona, packing the carriage with their belongings as well as those left from their departed comrades and readying the pulling horses. As for the intelligent Kalos, Jynx and Ilia traded off riding him and driving the carriage.

As Ilia and Jynx left Phoena behind, they found a steady stream of trade caravans between Phoena and Takis very much like the ones the companions had encountered traveling north. The caravans were Palmyrion, and contained supplies for new construction. It took little effort for Jynx to learn that the supplies were being sent by rebellious nobles and merchants in Palmyrion. The rebellion in the north of both lands was growing roots…
As autumn progressed, Jynx and Ilia traveled east. The days steadily cooled as the leaves began to change, and then fall. And every evening, the sun set behind them.
