Bonnie is in favour of seeking shelter.

The party trudges off the main road towards the dark blur of trees. Once inside, the situation immediately improves. The thick canopy of this little forest protects you from the majority of the rain. You gather as best you can, having to settle on being spread out in a line, due to the closeness of the trees.
The forest is extremely dark. Outside and above you can be heard the cacophony of rain. It could take many hours for the storm to pass.
I need to know some things, such as whether or not you try and get sleep, whether you light a fire, or if you put anyone on watch. Other things could happen, too, for instance if you wish to search for herbs or climb a tree or who knows what.

Owain will take advantage of the opportunity to gather any useful herbs that might be available, followed by a turn at watch if needed, plus food and sleep. He would ask Bonnie's opinion on setting a campfire.

Because it's so dark and the soil isn't great around the Wildlands, we're going to set the DC at 17 for the healing check. The initial search takes a half hour. You can lower this by 1 for each extra half hour you want to spend searching. As usual, it's a skill roll.
You could also use Trenton's ability and have him assist you in the search.

Is there a upper limit on how long you will permit the search to take? How does two hours sound?

I would say the upper limit would be five hours. In that time, the storm will probably be over, plus you would have covered the entire forest. Two hours is fine. Are you taking Trenton with you for his ability, or trusting to your own skills?

Meldorac will offer to take watch with Trenton if he has not been abducted by Owain!
Edit: Nm, I guess Meldorac will enjoy the sounds of rain on his own!

Regarding the queries in the thread: There is no fire possible unless we can find or make something fully protected. Protection from most of the rain is probably not good enough for us to make any use of a campfire. We would still be wet.
We could build a water proof-shelter (GM allowing). I think this should be possible from materials in the forest. Will probably take an hour or so to complete. We would have to go far enough into the forest so winds and turbulence are not an issue.
It is midday and a storm is brewing. Bonnie will kick anyone who tries to get some sleep before the shelter is in place and a fire is started. Those who do not assist with the work will have to guard and/or patrol the nearest area.
After we have a large enough dry shelter and a cozy fire, we can start to discuss alternatives.

Too late. I am making Trenton show his sensitive side by picking flowers in the woods. That's how every hard-bitten mercenary with dental problems likes to spend his spare time.

And Meldorac is standing in some shade away from camp watching the road Kick the lazy herbalish and mage! What else are they good for!

Owain: I think you misunderstood the Trenton thing. He adds five dice to the pool, he doesn't lower the DC. Also, lol at your last post.
I'm headed off to work, but when I get back it will be fun times.

Gregor assists with building a shelter. Sinces he's clever, he devices a way for any water run-off to be collected for drinking/cooking/washing ( im posting on my cell so could someone make 3 skill rolls for me please
