"Trenton, distract the crossbowman on the left. Make him break cover," Bonnie says.
Trenton takes up a stone and throws it towards the crossbow man.
"Over here you dung-head*!"
* Possibly replace with better IC formulation. Not sure what is appropriate. Should be an attention getter. Will make rolls in next post. Skill +5 claimed.

That's only four rolls, though. You get to make 5 more because of Trenton.
It's not that he adds +5 to the results, he actually gives you five extra dice.

I think I see what you're doing, but no combat rolls needed in this case, unless you're attacking the Drakkarim Commander. I'll use the skill rolls to determine how well you get to cover, if you wish.

A bustle of motion broke across the impromptu fighting grounds as the Drakkarim Commander charged through the ranks of the companions. Gregor lost control of his mount and decided it was safer on foot, flinging himself from the saddle. He landed awkwardly and fell down in a cloud of dust upon the dirt road. But he was on his feet fast enough and looking for cover. Unfortunately, there wasn't any that he could see. This ravine had been meant as a death trap for the enemies of Sommerlund. It was proving to be quite successful... though not against its intended target. The best Gregor could do was to press himself against the wall beneath the archers, meaning they would have to lean over and aim directly down if they wanted to hit him. Meanwhile, Owain leapt from his steed and tried to keep his horse between him and the arrows, but the horse spooked at the Commander's charge, and left him in the open. Cursing, he spoke the prayer words of Faithshield, casting Ishir's divine protection over Meldorac. But Meldorac preferred to rely on action, rather than prayer, to avoid giant lances. In a dazzling display of horsemanship and agility both, he dropped to one side of the saddle as the Commander rode past him. The lance missed him by a mere second. The next moment, Meldorac was back upright in the saddle, though prepared to jump off at a moment's notice if need be. Enraged, the Commander spun around for another pass. Gregor, the DC to hit you with an arrow is now 11.
Meldorac: 20, 17+15 (2 kept in reserve) Drakkarim Commander: 1 (11 kept in reserve)
Your natural 20 wins the match. You were dodging, though, so the Commander don't take no hurtin'
As for Faithshield, it gives you extra dice when rolling toughness. In this case, you get +1 dice this combat when rolling toughness, Meldorac. Also, I wasn't sure whether you actually wanted off the horse this round, so I left that open to you.
The Commander is targeting you again, by the by.Bonnie and Trenton met the attack of the crossbowmen bravely, riding their horses out from the crowd in different directions to present multiple targets. While Trenton rode around acting essentially as bait, Bonnie pulled free her longbow and took careful aim. Even as one of the Drakkarim archers loosed a bolt at her, she let fly with an arrow of her own that struck the crossbowman's shoulder between the armour plating. Meanwhile the other Drakkarim took aim at Michael, who hadn't reacted yet to the situation. The bolt struck him in the arm. The healer turned white with the pain. Thinking fast, he led his horse towards the archers, then dismounted in a corner. He struggled to keep his horse between him and the wall for a few moments, trying to create shelter, but the beast couldn't be controlled by him, especially with his now injured arm. The creature ran away, leaving its master more or less open to further attack. The result of the Drakkarim archers was 2 hits on Bonnie and 1 on Michael. Both characters get to roll their toughness to try and resist this damage. My Drakkarim takes 2 damage, giving them:
Drakkarim archer 1 (3/5) Drakkarim archer 2 (5/5) Commander (11/11)
My rolls for this round: invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1901207/
So, to summarize, I need toughness rolls from Bonnie and Michael, and action declarations and rolls from everyone for round 2.

Seeing Bonnie and Michael both struck with crossbow bolts, but knowing the Herbalish could heal himself, Owain rushes to the Border Ranger's side, casting Faithshield on her. If I ever save up 10 EXP I am so upgrading this to an area of effect spell so it can benefit the entire party with one cast.
MENTAL roll for Bonnie (8,6,12): invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1903727/. Faithshield will have its minimum effect unfortunately.

Gregor asses the situation around him. So many targets, so little time. I assume I can target multiple enemies? Want to zap each archer once, then once on the Commander. Lightning Hand (1d20=3, 1d20=19, 1d20=6, 1d20=17). In this order -
Archer 1 - 9 (3+6) Archer 2 - 17 Commander - 19

Meldorac wanted to twist his horse in to the Drakkarim Captain's at the last moment and dive off - to provide a disruption - is this not possible?
If not this round, that will be his action next. If it is possilbe, then some form of intelligent running away tor towards the captain will hape for the next round's actions depending on how tangled the captain gets!

Ah, I see. That would in fact be a combat roll, non-dodging, because the successful result would probably throw the Drakkarim commander from his horse and damage him.
Using your horse as a weapon is tough, though. Let's talk in your board for a moment.
By the way, those who took damage can also use Trenton to take that damage, if their toughness doesn't resist it.
I've rolled for Michael and he resisted... lucky bastard...
