Meldorac is looking especially to the house, and trying to get back in to his old mindset. If he were trying to break in to the house, were would the best weaknessess be?
And is something too easy in that regard - are there no movements in places where usually you'd have to avoid, speaking of something having happened to the occupants.
If someone has already broken in to the house, what things are hard to disguise that would let them know it wasn't safe? Is there a dog bowl but no dog now because someone had to kill it? Are there areas of the house shuttered that you usually wouldn't shutter? Lights on in odd places or off in normal places? Etc.

Is this you just looking at the house, or are you going around to the back, up to the front, into the stables... what?

Depends on the actions of the rest, espcially Trenton. If we can dismount and get closer, great, all of the above. If we are sitting on our horses waiting for Bonnie then I guess it is just looking from a distance
Meldorac won't push the issue of investigating closer, just use the opportunity if it's presented.

Hmm, just read the other thread. If Trenton is expecting to meet the people first, then I guess we are waiting to see what Owain and Gregor want to do - knock on the door, or sneak around

Well for now you see the shape of a man move past one of the lit windows. When you cautiously ride close to the house, you find the door unlocked but see no signs of forced entry. Everything in your burglar instincts tells you that this house has not been forced into. You see muddy dog prints on the porch, but that could just mean the owners have a dog, just like the shape you saw through the window could be the owner himself.
As for breaking in yourself, it would have to be at ground level. The upper windows are a good twenty feet off the ground, and there's no way to climb up to them without a great deal of effort or a ladder.
Or maybe Trenton could throw you up there ^_^
