Assuming you aren't going to do something evil to us in the stables.... Meldorac will fight at the front-ish, prefering to let the fighters take the brunt and try to attack the dogs from the flank. I want to claim Trenton as a distraction - by the way you've described him, I assume he would fight harder to protect Meldorac than the others anyway and would bias his attacks in Meldorac's direction - so claiming the extra die for his attacks Ok, so assuming the stables aren't so chaotic with flailing horse, and assuming there are stalls etc to climb on, then can Meldorac climb on to one of them and jump down on to a dog he targets? While, you know, making himself not a target of the dog's attacks for at least the first round? And if he can do that, does that satisfy the requirements for sure footing?

As usual, you can ALWAYS describe whatever you'd like (Meldorac pushes a horse on top of one of the dogs... Meldorac jumps atop a horse and fights from horseback...) but it only grants you bonuses if you have the ability to do so.
And you do.
Your ability wouldn't grant you a free round, though I think it qualifies as sure footing to give you the bonus. The idea was based around the Shadakine's acrobatic abilities, wasn't it? It's quite fancy, fighting from atop a stable post, I must say. I suppose you're just jumping down from one, though...

Well, if you don't mind me staying on one, I will fight from there! I hadn't counted on the permenant meat shie.... I mean, all the companions being forced in to melee combat

Well, I'll give you the bonus as long as you can stay up there... but you'll have to describe it very well for me not to take it away ^_^ That's the pay-off... entertain me ^_^
