While finding Sera Veshin and making it back to Citadel seems a ways off at this point, you do wonder about these newcomers you've encountered. Why are they here?
Your goal, then, is to discover their true purpose in Oasis. Any time you can get their mission out of a party member, you open yourself to EXP gain. If you can find proof or gain their trust enough to ensure this is their real mission and not a lie, you get more EXP. Who knows... one of them may be connected to Sera Veshin.

Ok, so didn't really achieve the secondary EXP goal, but I did play the numbers in interesting ways in the Gourgaz fight, plus I almost killed Gregor, then basically had Gregor humiliated in a loincloth, then managed to antagonise our ally right before she was gutted. That's all pure helpful to the plot actions those! Deserving rich 20 EXP rewards and additional healing of the mental score!
