As per Mowyer's board...
Hearing Aram's words, Mowyer relaxes her grip a bit, but she doesn't let go.
"Alright," she says to the mage. "You heard him. Answer his questions. Maybe, if you answer truthfully, I'll be inclined to let you live."

Gregor gasps for air as the grip relaxes lsightly. He coughs violently and keeps hold off Mowyers hands if only to steady himself. Through the coughing and the sweat dripping down his face he tries to speak.
"I have already given my reasons for going first through the portal...."
*cough cough*
"There was no malice in my actions, nor was I responsible for Mels demise... there are forces at work here that none of you can truly comprehend...."
Gregor hiccups and takes a short intake of breath. On exhaling a thick mixture of phlegm and blood escape from his mouth and dribbles down his cheek.
"I am.... a Brother... of the Crystal Star..."
Releasing his grip, he graps hold of the pendant around his neck and holds it as hig as he can.
"I am pledged to defend the innocent with my life... Igasso would have killed us all. You talk about rights, Mowyer. The right to die, the right to kill or not kill. Look at the horror your so-called Elder has caused.... If I had not acted, would we all not be as mutilated as the dead here, or as brainless as those we faced outside.... Is that yur wish, girl, is it your wish that we should all perish, so you can fulfill your "right" to end this plague?"
Gregor knees begin to wobble, he is having problems standing on his own.
"You all dont trust me, that much is apparent. Never-the-less, I came here to serve the King in ending this plague. If killing Igasso has fulfilled that duty, then I gladly die. Maybe then I will get to see her again......"
Gregor fixes his tear-stained face onto Mowyers and awaits his fate.

"One moment before his death Igasso spoke to me and made no threat. Tell me the peril I was in. Was the threat that I was negotiating with him? That I might help stop the civil war and the horrors seen here that tear Oasis apart? Is Ulnar so jealous he sends assassins to keep us divided?" Mowyer realises she is getting worked up and irrational and pauses.
"You live because I see honour in Aram, a better man than you. You live by his entretment alone. Speak no words to me. Speak no words to those whose struggle you made worse. Never speak the name of the man you murdered. Do not dare judge someone when you rationalise your own petty attrocities so easily. "
Mowyer frees herself from the entanglement of GRegor as if he were plague ridden, and steps backwards to allow Aram access to Gregor. She stands beside Moiri.
Zipp, I'll try to post something on by board - something Mowyer might want to ask Moiri

Owain steps forward to examine the wizard's brutalized neck. "I believe Gregor's claim of loyalty to the Crystal Star," says Owain. "One did betray his Brotherhood just two years ago, but Vonotar's evil corrupted him, body and soul." A flicker of pain crosses the priest's features as he recalls the invasion of his homeland. "There are many questions we have of you though. To start, what has your order learned of the plague? What do YOU know of it?"

Gregor collapses to the floor, coughing and spluttering as he does. Subconciously he scratches himself as he coughs. The mage looks up to see Aram staring at him.
"What now, sir knight? Is it your turn to exact your revenge on me for your current state? Perhaps you should form a line with all the others assembled here...."

"I will not kill you without provocation, Brother of the Crystal Star," says Aram to Gregor. "Neither will I prevent this woman from administering justice in accordance with the laws of Oasis if she so chooses. I do hold you responsible for my current state. Your flight through the portal has cost me my armor, my shield, and most importantly, my right hand. Gertwiller's actions were also to blame, but it sounds like he has already paid the ultimate price. That is not a capital crime, however. I still do not trust you, and I am watching you. If you wish to make a show of good faith, perhaps you have some knowledge of how to reverse my condition and restore my hand. You are an expert on portals now. If one caused this, could another perhaps set it right? I would also like some answers. You have just admitted that you do know what happened to Meldorac, and that your claim of amnesia earlier is false. The truth would help your cause greatly. You say we cannot comprehend, but how can you possibly know that? I may not be as clever as you, but I think our priest friend here is perfectly capable of understanding Meldorac's fate." He nods to Owain. "That necklace has the symbols of your order, so you should be the one to examine it. I think it must be what allowed him to control his guards."

Mowyer has been ignoring the discussion to speak to Moira. Subconsciously she has been wiping her hands on her breeches, as if to remove sweat. However, something Aram says comes to her ear and she seems to snort in despair. "There is no rule of law in Oasis while our rulers do...this, and our citizens are infected. I trust you more than...I trust you to be custodian and administer what justice you see fit until order is restored."
Mowyer catches the comment about the necklace, and realises the previous conversation. "do not touch him!" she says, then calms down. "This was a respected man of Kai, spiritual leader. It is possible some disease or magic has afflicted his brain. One we should not seek to put upon ourselves. At the very least, we should not have ourselves implicated with what has happened here. "
She shots a wicked glare at gregor, ten gos back to speakingto Moira.

"I do not think we should just leave a potenially dangerous artifact here for anyone to find," says Owain. The priest leaves Gregor and steps over to Igasso's remains. "I will not attempt to use the necklace, but we should at least examine it." Owain searches the smouldering corpse for the necklace.

Still holding onto the cage while he stands, Gregor continues to cough and scratch himself. There is one section on his left thigh that is now visably red-raw.
"If I can restore you then I will do so, sir knight. If I can I will see us all returned home safely."
Gregor doubles-over into another coughing fit which takes him several minutes to recover from.
"By Ishir, I sure could use a drink though!"

"Thank you," says Aram to Mowyer. "And I trust you as well. I see that you no longer have your weapons, but I saw you wielding a dagger before to great effect. Here, take my knife." He holds it by the crossguard and offers it to her hilt-first, no longer thinking of it as Gertwiller's. "I still have the sword, and it is better that we both be armed." He nods to Owain. "You are right, the necklace cannot simply be left here for just anyone to stumble across. As a priest of Ishir, you are best suited to be its custodian and to determine whether or not it is safe to use." At last he turns to Gregor. "Consider yourself in my custody until further notice. That means no more running ahead through portals. Until such time as law and order can be restored in Oasis, any trial will have to wait. In the meantime, we must all work together to survive and to complete our mission. I shall fetch you some water. You look like you could use it." He looks around the chamber for a container of clean water to give to Gregor.

Mowyer nods in grateful thanks. Unsurprisingly she gives a dark look to Gregor, but she quickly if violently pushes the knife into her belt, ensuring it is secure. She then subconsciously wipes her hand on her breeches again. She doesn't notice it, but does notice her shaking hand and places it on the hilt of her new knife.

Owain finds the necklace effortlessly. Meanwhile, Mowyer takes Moira aside and tries to have a private word with her, but the conversation echoes in the large room.
"I do not trust my mother nor the council," Mowyer says. "But neither do I trust your misteress Veshin yet. Xaviee was supposed to take me to her, just as Igasso could have let me confront my mother for the evils in Oasis. It appears that for all of us, thanks to this outsider, confronting the council would now be suicide. Will you still take me to Veshin as agreed with her before? If your cause is true, I may have knowledge that can aid her."
"Of course, I'll take you to Veshin," Moira says, a look of suspicion on her face. "There's not much else we can do, unless we leave you here."
Mowyer then keeps her voice even lower. "Before today it was believed that my brother Jason - Sylvania's son - had turned to Veshin. Is this true? If so, did you hear - as I did - that Jason was working for Igasso? Things are not what they seem anywhere. Even my other brother, Charles, master of the guards, who was ordered to trick me into believing he was a turncoat may well be a turncoat. You may have a double agent in your camp, and I may well be able to give you a double agent in my mother's, if Veshin is true."
"These are all things you'll have to speak to Veshin about," Moira responds.
Finally, now the adreniline fades and she seeks distractions from her previous actions, Mowyer thinks on terms she has heard. "What is the shield of which you speak? And do you know of the 'beast' that Igasso spoke to me of?"
"I've heard nothing about any beast," Moira says. "Probably one of Igasso's minions. It seems he was busy here with some kind of experiments. The shield, though... that was our goal. It covers Oasis in a magical field. No one can leave the field. You can enter, but only if you're with someone from Oasis, and then only by the front gates. How did you get in? For that matter, who are you people? Let me make myself clear. I don't trust ANYONE from Citadel. But I don't trust outsiders even more. These are Oasis matters, what are these other people doing here? And who is this man with the rock for an arm?"

Aram steps forward as he walks through the room in search of clean water and bows to Moira in greeting. "I am Sir Aram, Knight of the Realm," he says. "The three of us come from Sommerlund, on a mission from King Ulnar to investigate the plague and, if possible, put a stop to it. The mark of Citadel I bear upon my cheek is not my own. It presumably belonged to a strange man named Gertwiller. He jumped on me as I was passing through a portal. It caused us to exchange possessions such as my armor and his clothing, and apparently parts of our bodies as well. When I arrived in the castle, my right hand was fused into a stone wall."
