Mowyer sudders at the horrific explanation of the portal technology gone wrong. Still, atleast the knight is alive, which is more than she originally assumed would happen when the two went through together.
"I only chanced on these outsiders when I was forced to escape Citadel through a portal. I have been trapped in Citadel for days, my requests to see my mother blocked and my pleas that we should help those outside falling on deaf ears. Apparently they were heard though, since my death was ordered. And apparently I Wwas thought a useful tool, I was allowed to escape and told that Sera Veshin caused the plague. However, my brother I thought a betrayer seems to have left me very hidden messages. Perhaps if we can find them, we might gain information on what is happening. The next one was hidden in the balcony of the gardens of the castle, I fear the Darklander's attack might have removed it though."
Mowyer then loks around. "There was a black disc, small, that I was given secretly. I must find it, if we can recover our possessions."

Owain takes the necklace and holds it up to the light, examining it closely. As he does so, he enquires: "Aram, can you tell whether your hand is merely encased in stone or is the rock now part of your flesh? In the former case we could perhaps try breaking it free."
So I'd like to make the equivalent of a Lore check here. Would that be MENTAL or SKILL?

Mental, Owain.
Anyone who wants to search the area make a skill roll. Add 1 for everyone else (and plus 1 for the rebels, including Moira).
EDIT: Sorry, confusing instructions. ONE person make the skill roll, and add 1 for everyone who is assisting the search. Owain cannot assist because he is examining the pendant, and anyone past The Brink does not add the extra die.
Speaking of which... Mowyer and Gregor both add 2 stress for the confrontation you had.

Mower has no skill to roll against, does that mean she cannot aid the search either?

Indeed it does.

"I am not sure," Aram answers Owain, trying to feel his fingers within the rock. "If there is some magic that allows one to peer through stone, perhaps we could tell for sure." He then turns back to Mowyer. "Did you say a black disc? I found something like it. It must have belonged to Gertwiller." He awkwardly opens his backpack with one hand and feels around inside, pulling out the strange black circular object. "Does it look like this? What is it, and how does it work?"

"That is it, but if it was in Gertwiller's pack then it is not the one I was given! Its purpose is not known to me, but it must be important. I will leave it in your care and perhaps when we are safe we can look to a meaning and use."

"Yes, we'll figure it out later," says Aram, returning it to his backpack.

"If I am allowed, perhaps I can help out here....."
Gregor stands shakily, using the cage for support. The scratching continues, his leg now visably bleeding. He does not seem to notice it though and continues anyway.
"Sir knight, if you will allow me perhaps I can see the state of your arm.... perhaps I can divine some use for that necklace as well. Magic is what I am good at after all...."
Im not making any rolls yet, depending on how the others reacte to Gregors offers of help[/color]

"Well, you are not likely to make it worse," says Aram. After closing up his pack, he walks over to Gregor. "Here, lean on me for support." He holds the mage steady with his good left hand while extending his right for him to inspect.

Ever get the feeling that Gregor, as a player, is getting EXP for his next character by infecting us all with plague? Good thing we aren't all touching him alot

Gregor puts most of his weight onto Aram as he stands shakily. He sitffles his coughing as much as he can, turning his head as to not cough over the other.
Grasping his pendant his closes his eyes and begins an incantation.

What incantation would that be? All boards have been updated.
Moira seems very put off by Mowyer's talk of Sera Veshin as a traitor. "Sera Veshin is a great woman," she snarls. "If you think her a traitor, you're as corrupted as the rest of citadel. She had the chance to be one of the five. She turned it down to better serve the people. She should never be called a traitor."
The other rebels seem less interested in the argument. Many are poking around the room, trying the double doors, looking for a way out. The doors don't seem to be responding to their efforts.

"Better serve her people by refusing the position where she cold have worked against this?" says Mowyer, pointing to the horrors of the room. "Do you think that all citizens of Citadel knew about this? I am pleased you operate in such a position of certainty, everyone whom I believed true is false, so forgive me if I do not take your word for it that Veshin is any better, given the affliction in the streets that stalks all of Oasis. I will strike down those who have caused this, whoever they are. However I shall not be a puppet for any side that does not prove their intentions by action."
