Hi there. I guess I'm not the only one unsatisfied with the new Mongoose roleplaying game, as this is fairly simple. On the other hand - and you may correct me if I'm wrong - the old one is very imbalanced. Just compare the psychic battle of the Kai with the battle cries of the Telcho's Warriors, and you will see what I mean.
What I would like to do is to balance the system in a mutual process in order to establish some common standard. Anyone interested?

You can take a shot at it. A few people out there have already. The greatest challenge is deciding where you want the balance point to be. But you are not wrong. There's a huge balance range among the LW RPG classes. If you take the Kai Lord (and Shianti Sorcerer) class out of the mix, the balance disparity is not quite as huge between the remaining classes. So that may offer some guidance as to what might really be worth the effort to fix. As a suggestion, you are probably going to find no takers for your offer and your topic of discussion here. About the only frequent posters to this particular forum anymore are those players in my game, and we are between two campaigns at present. I do not use the LW RPG for that game anymore, and many of my players are not particularly familiar with it. I would recommend you wander over to: daziarn.proboards.com/index.cgi?No promises of anyone there taking up an effort with you. But you may at least find more potential discussion for your ideas there.

I think 3.5 has some balance issues itself, especially trying to keep skills in check as character increase in level (and the disparity in skill bonuses between players)
It's certainly worth asking, I would agree that the TotS forums might get more traffic, and even Project Aon. Certainly there are people playing LW RPGs on RPoL, so it is not that the matter might not raise some interest.
