I'll keep your search in mind when I make my next post. Roll skill for me, please. Also note that entering the secret room gives you an automatic point of insanity (I'll let you use the Crystal Star pendant to deflect it, but don't forget about the two you've already taken... your sig still reads you at being at 0).
As for the compass, it's not acting up anymore at all. You don't know why, but you resolve to keep an eye on it as you search the house, and from now on in general. If it acts up again, I'll let you know, no roll needed.

That... is strange. Anything in particular you'd like to find?
As for the secret room, I assume you've read my description of it that I gave the others? Were you interested in taking any of the potions? The book is gone.

Yea I'll nab the potions. Possibly looking for any clues or links to Oasis in the room, and of course looking out for whatever im looking for via the compass.

You take the potions. Add them to your equipment (each takes up a slot. Remember the colours.)
The compass doesn't act up in the room, for which you are somewhat grateful You didn't want to have to go rummaging through those dark patches which smell strongly of rotting meat. You'll keep an eye on it, though.
You do find something the others missed: a rolled piece of parchment on the floor. It reads "Take the treasure through the sewer entrance. For the first mile, take all left turns. For the second mile, all right turns. Alternate each mile until you reach a wide open area. Look for the symbol of the Hand. Valentine Ross will meet you there at the appointed time, and take you through the secret entrance to the Citadel."
As you're leaving the room, you bump into Bonnie.

EXP spend - 6 points to reduce stress to 0.
During the next scene before we leave the house, I want to accomplish 3 things.
- identify the potions - identify the book - attune the compass (in private) to search for whatever is it Im searching for
Just to satisfy my own curiosity, is "the treasure" mentioned in the scroll the same thing my compass is going barmy at?

I can't tell you that. Glad you're curious, though ^_^
Give me some skill rolls, one set for each identification and how about a mental roll for the attunement. Both the potions and the book are going to take a lot of successes for full identification... let's say the following rules for them:
every 2 successes on the potions let's you identify one potion (your choice) DC: 16.
If you fail right now, you can try again next scene or you can try other methods (drinking them... having Sherri drink them... having the companions drink them)
On the book, you'll need 5 successes, DC: 13
To attune the compass, a mental success, three successes at DC 12
Remember you can take stress to gain more dice or reroll dice.

For the book you get your normal skill roll. For the potions AS A GROUP you get your normal skill roll.
The idea is that not only are the book and potion totally unknown elements to you and studying them straight out is above your current skill level, but you are also working with possibly dangerous materials here. So in order to fully succeed on the book, you'd need to spend stress. On the potions, you might get lucky and be able to identify one without taking stress, but again, more likely than not, that won't be the case.

I thought I posted the results for all of these things! I'm sorry! You should've sent me a "slap upside the head" via PM to remind me!
Book: while flipping through the book, you notice that sometimes the pages don't seem black when you first turn to them. Instead they seem to fade to black. Yet, no matter how quickly you open the page, you can never seem to catch them.
Purple Potion: a single smell of the potion makes you nearly retch. Only one time during your studies have you smelled a similar thing. One time you had the misfortune of visiting the Toran morgue, where you were to look at the insides of a dead human to better understand the workings of the body (a Brotherhood scholarly practice kept secret from most of Sommerlund and learned from the Sages of Lyris). In the morgue, they used something they called "rot gut." This chemical, which you now hold, disolves the eternal organs and preserves a body, keeping it fresh for its trip to the grave. If someone living were to drink it... well, they wouldn't be living for very long. It would be an excruciatingly painful death, as well.
You seem to remember something about rot gut having other uses, but you can't recall the details.
The Compass: you manage to tap into the compass' magical workings with your mind and lessen its "stress," bringing it back into focus. Focusing, you feel it once again pointing towards Oasis. Nothing else extra-ordinairy happens until later when you enter the Oasis tunnel. Then the compass goes briefly nuts again, as Owain is brushing past you into the tunnel. Attuning your mind, you are surprised to find the source of the disruption is coming from Owain himself.

Cheers. Just fyi my work has decided to get all Big Brother with its internet access, so I can no longer get invisible castle at work. Which sucks :/ So dice rolls will have to wait for when Im at home, unless you want to roll them if it speeds things up.

I can roll them, if that's alright with you. Just tell me what you need rolled, remembering stress abilities. I like to keep the game moving, you know?
Do other dice roller work for you? Cause that's another optino.
