When a scene begins, I get threat which players can remove by their actions in game.
Then I get to spend threat to generate monsters when I wish or the scene calls for it: 2 threat- create an enemy with 2 health 4 threat- create an enemy with 5 health 8 threat- create an enemy with 10 health +1 damage 11 threat- create an enemy with 15 health +2 damage 15 threat- create an enemy with 20 health +3 damage
I can spend one threat to increase this health by one, for as many threat as I can spend.
As for how many dice they roll, this is set at 2, and I spend 1 threat to increase this to 3, another 1 to get to 4, and so on, when I create the monster. I can spend similarly to increase damage by 1.
You can reduce the cost of an enemy by 1 by reducing their dice pool or damage by 1.
When taking damage, I can spend 1 threat to roll to resist damage as per the usual rules. By continuing to spend threat, I can continue to try and resist damage. I can also spend threat to turn unmatched dice into damage.
