Trenton A mercenary of 33, Trenton has traveled much of Magnamund and has a wide range of experience. According to him, he was born in Hammerdal, though for some reason he hasn't returned to his home country in over 15 years.
The companions hired him after meeting him in Holmgard on the first night of their journey, where he was helpful in dealing with the city watch after a death at the inn. Having recently returned from the Wildlands, he knows a fair bit about the plague that's struck the area.
Trenton comes from a large family, being one of four brothers and having five sisters. Trenton has an affinity for Meldorac, who reminds him of his deceased brother, Janus. Trenton was involved in the events that led to his brother's death, and he still carries the guilt of these circumstances with him, which leads him to often put his own life in danger to protect others.
Trenton died on the road to Oasis, at the Mason house. He was struck by a flaming beam in the stables while protecting Meldorac.
Abilities Extra Sword: In any combat, a player can "claim" Trenton as their helper. For the rest of that battle, that player gains +1 die in every combat roll. Once claimed, no other player can claim Trenton for the rest of the battle.
Jack of All Trades: once a scene, Trent can be activated to add +5 dice to any skill roll.
Blaze of Glory: Go Down Fighting When Trent is sacrificed for his Blaze of Glory, he deals twice his current health in damage to any enemy, or divided up amongst enemies.

Sherri Mcfarland A girl of 15 who lived in Oasis until very recently, when she was hired to be a servant at Lemuel Mason's home in the hills beyond the merchant city. Her mother still lives in the city. She is an only child.
Sherri recently went to Oasis to see her mother, who had fallen ill. Upon returning to the Mason home, Lemuel Mason killed his wife and daughters, then tried to kill Sherri. She was protected by Thanh Koch, the other servant of the household, whose body has not been found. Thanh hid her in the basement, where she was discovered by the companions.
Sherri has no fighting ability, nor has she heard anything about the plague in Oasis. She does, however, know the city well, having grown up there, and could prove to be a valuable resource in the city.
Sherri went missing when the companions were attacked by the black smoke.
Abilities I know my way around: When in Oasis, Sherri can provide directions or an answer to questions regarding to the layout of the city. She's kind've like a walking map.
Blaze of Glory: After me! When Sherri is sacrificed, she can lead one group of enemies away from the party, using herself as bait. This effectively clears an area of enemies, except in special circumstances (which will be told when they arise, but think 'boss' fights, like the Drakkarim Commander).

Gertwiller
A mysterious swordsman who has been chased through Oasis by the plagued citizens. He was killed after triggering a portal contusion.
Abilities Swordsman: in combat, Gertwiller can add +1 combat dice to a single player's roll
Hidden abilties: Gertwiller adds +2 dice to all skill rolls performed while in his vicinity
Distracting blows: Gertwiller can distract a single enemy for a round. As long as no other player attacks that enemy, the enemy will not target a player. It will not take damage from Gertwiller's blows. This ability can be used multiple times, but not in tandem with other abilities.
Blaze of Glory: Sudden Fury By giving in to insanity, Gertwiller goes berserk and tears into his enemies. This allows a player to take control of Gertwiller and make an 8 dice attack, where each connecting dice does two damage instead of the usual one. After this, however, Gertwiller will desert the party in a crazed frenzy.

Moira
One of the rebels under the command of General Xaviee Domico. Moira is a skilled fighter whom Xaviee cares for deeply, as if she were related to him. She joined the companions after Owain freed her from an illusion during the assault on Igasso's castle.
Abilties Focused Fighter: Once per combat, Moira can incapacitate a foe for four rounds. By spending an END point, she can defeat the foe entirely. This ability may not be used on bosses or when there is only a single foe present.
Precise Strike: If her focused fighter has not been activated, Moira adds +1 damage to all rolls against a single creature (to be declared at the start of combat). This target cannot be changed until the foe has been defeated.
Blaze of Glory: "I'll hold em off here" By sacrificing herself in a final flurry of swordplay, Moira can incapacitate an entire group of enemies, including bosses, to give the players a chance to escape. All enemies are effectively stunned for five rounds.

The Screamers
Two Screamers that Owain controls, found in Igasso's castle. The Screamers will not attack other plague victims unless forced to, however, they will attack "unturned" enemies or creatures not originally from Oasis. Only Owain can direct the Screamers and they act as a single unit.
Abilities Scream: By screeching out, the Screamers can summon a horde of plague monsters. While this may seem detrimental to the party in most situations, such a horde may prove a distraction or may be used to call off a horde from elsewhere so that the heroes can escape/progress. Screamers using scream are4 probably lost, as they will most likely be separated from the group (ie. they distract while the group runs).
Rip and Shred: against non-Oasis enemies, a Screamer can prove a deadly weapon. Owain can add 2 damage to a successful attack made by anyone in the party as long as it is against a non-Oasis foe.
Blaze of Glory: "Forced Attack" By breaking the Screamer's will completely, Owain can use their Rip and Shred ability against Oasis creatures for a single combat. After this combat, however, the Screamers lose their mental capacities and are no longer controllable or a threat.
