Meldorac is convinced that Owain is the rival from the other guild, some form of crossbow weilding assassin who has probably bumped off Michael, probably killed the man from the inn, and probably has a pocket full of poisonous herbs and a few neat magics that he passes off as priestly spells.
Meldorac would happily kill the man right now, but has not the means nor the inclination to engage with someone who can probably administer a quick death to Meldorac with poison on a blade or some priest spell.
Tell me if there will be a stress cost for not sleeping for one evening while pretending to sleep, hoping Owain might come after him.
Otherwise, the plan is that Sir Amar and Bonnie are probably ok, but fools, and Gregor is a waste of space and no threat. Hopefully Meldorac can trap Owain in his own words, forcing the priest to go to the citadel with the two warriors.
Meanwhile, Meldorac can force Sherri to show him exactly where the town elder's hall is as instructed, get the relic, and out. And if Meldorac has to knock out Gregor with a sock, then really, it's all good.
Did I ask if Meldorac could create a proper Sap when forced to rest somewhere?

Oh, you did ask, I forgot to answer. Your money pouch is essentially a decent sap, if tied shut properly. You can use it without penalty, but it doesn't grant any bonuses.
As for staying up all night, it will automatically raise your stress to the next level.

Before I can apply any experience? That's sad, I might have to get killed during the night

Meldorac will go up to the middle bedroom, and give it only a cursory search to ensure no one is behind anything. He will block off any window, and put his belt looped around the doorhandle on the outside to indicate he is in there, and then find a corner to sleep in (not the bed).
He'll tie his rope round his foot in a slip-knot he can pull out off with one tug, tie a more secure knot around the doorhandle, and have the rope routed aroudn the room and at some point a bed leg/post. He will be lying down against some piece of furniture like a dresser, with his leg against it. The routing should be in such a way that if anyone pushes open the door, they are actually pulling the rope tighter (so hard to get in) but more importantly then will start to push Meldorac's leg firmly against the dresser.
I would hope that would wake him up, and he yank the knot loose. That would make the door suddenly 'give' which might surprise the person trying the door. That would allow Meldorac the chance to rush at the door, slam it hard with his shoulder, then reopen it to confront the person on the other side with the dagger he is not letting go of!
There we go, that sounds like a plan. Not a good one, but, you know, Meldorac's in no condition and is not the sort of character to honestly have a good plan here : D

Oh, and of course Meldorac will look at his own wounds, ripping off some small piece of shirt to bind them as best he can. He'd want to grab some alcohol to douse his wounds , but is actually worried for a change he'd just want to down the whole lot. So he'll put up with the threat of poison death!
