Though it might be better than spammng Zipp's OOC game thread to have a thread here
Just to let Aram and Owain know, the two black moons today means ... something regeneration/stat gain wise.
Not being coy, I just forgot what right now!

Thanks for the goodies, Naseir. Well, I've managed to get myself falling-down drunk and suffering from goofball withdrawal. Rock and roll!

Heh, yup!
The game rolls over at the end of each day, which is around 5am our time at the moment

Well, that means I've effectively rendered myself unable to play KoL for the rest of the day. Still, at least I now know that if I feel the need to experiment with something potentially disastrous, I should try it at 4.55am.

Lol, exactly! Aww, this game just requires patience - it's fun to learn all this stuff and test out stuff, as long as you don't mind waiting a day to recover Incase you didn't notice, your meter at the side would have been telling you how badly drunk you were

OK, this rat-infested cellar - I take it I'm supposed to have a light source before I go in there?
Edit: Never mind, I have found the thread on the KoL forums. It is long.

The forums are a scary place!
Anyway:
Blundering around is what you must do today to find the rat source

Well, do tomorrow since I used up all my adventures for the day. I suspected it was a guessing game, but had such a hard time hitting the rodents I wasn't sure if it was my stats or the darkness that was to blame.

Your stats probably, the more muscle you have the easier you can hit creatures, and the more moxie you have the easier you can avoid them. Each creature has a range where they are challenging, if you are below that they are nasty, and if you above that you should be able to trounce them if you are well enough If a region is annoying, go adventure elsewhere for awhile doing a guild quest or silly side quest that you can occasionally pick up to make life easier If you haven't already, visit the pretentious artist as he will have a use for your rat whiskers! More meat

Yeah, I went to the Bat Cave instead. That was easy at first, but the previously-blocked areas are way too hard for me right now. I'm Level 5, BTW,

Yeah, I did the game again recently with a multi seal clubber, and I found the boss at the end too hard. I actually found it easier to do the next quest, then come back There's no harm, and infact sometimes it gives you good stuff or helps you later, solook around and explore some easier areas to boost your stats. When the game's new to you, it's all exploration instead of a grind

Thanks for the gifts, everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to get a little exploring and adventuring in this weekend.
