I also owe you some information on the city of Oasis. Rather than give you a detailed history lesson, I'm gonna go over some things in brief. Your character would know much more than what I'll tell you here, so if ever you have any questions, post them and I'll answer them, no roll needed.
The legend of Oasis is at least partially true. It was founded by renegades from Vassagonia with the help of an artifact given to them by the god Kai. The city is constructed on the slope of a hill, which has been leveled into eight steps. A huge gate encircles the city, and the city is wider at the front than it is at the back. There are three sectors and seven steps leading up to Citadel, which is on the eighth step.
The city is broken down heavily into class. Flags mark off the areas that your class of citizen is allowed to go to. The classes are Blue, Green, Orange, Red, White, and Yellow, in that order. Higher classes can go to lower class areas, but lower class citizens will be arrested if they go into higher class areas without the proper paperwork. Citizens have their hands tatooed with coloured runes. Yours is White, but on your cheek is tatooed the pentagon symbol encircling a hand that marks you as a citizen of Citadel.
Outsiders are not liked in Oasis, and people in the city are not encouraged (or allowed) to become outsiders themselves. The city is ruled by a council, elected by the general populace every five years. If someone dies during their appointment, the new member is choosen by the council themselves. Sera Veshin was up for a position because of this, but was not chosen.
That's it for now. As I said, if you have any other questions at any time, ask.
