A reminder to you all: when you are the ones who are picking the fight, you know I am going to need an Initiative roll right off. Please roll that in the future as part of your post, so we do not end up losing a day of gaming waiting for you to make a roll for the next Round's combat (or, in this particular case, the preliminaries to the first Round). I imagine I will not see Karstan at this point in the day, considering time zones, and may not see Ageal either. I really do not like rolling combat rolls for people, including Initiative rolls, but also do not want to pause for a day to fix this problem. So I will use Invisible Castle to roll initiatives for Karstan and Ageal and post the results here. Karstan Initiative at the inn in Trusk (1d20+4=9) Ageal Initiative at the inn in Trusk (Understanding in effect) (1d20+5=13)

Wait a sec.
Zohar, you get a penalty to Perception. Ector has +8 to Perception. Which of us should be searching the door?
Roll(1d20)+8: 3,+8 Total:11
Answer- Alba!

Is someone actually going to kick open the door before my update tonight?

I think we're all waiting to see if it will explode if anyone boots it.

Okay. Just checking to make certain this wasn't turning into something like the following:
"Okay, on three we kick in the door and charge. One... Two..."
"Wait a sec. Does that mean to go on three, or wait until you count to three and then go?"
"What are you talking about? On three. That means when I say 'three', you kick down the door!"
"But how do I know when you are going to say three? You might pause. And then, what if I had kicked the door on three, and you had actually meant after three and so weren't ready when I went on three? This is a very important part of the plan to get straight in advance."
"I said 'on three', I meant 'on three'. When I count three, you kick the door down."
"But..."
The monster on the other side of the door finally chomps both door and player characters beyond in sheer exasperation...

fairly confidant that as long as Zohar does not find a trap he is opening the door

I thought the plan was for one of us to turn the key and the other to kick the door open. Since Zohar is turning the key, that would mean Sir Ector would open the door, but if he doesn't then Zohar can do that too.

Either way, it all hinges on no one finding any traps - Alba has your backs covered!

Well, Ector has the high STR and AC, so if anyone's kicking the door in it would be him. I had imagined a slightly stealthier approach though.
