Lol, yeah, bad day for a holiday! And as a general note, although I named Corwyn in the narrative, Dirac will not have used the man's name out loud - he'd have said 'master' or some such thing And of course, nothing Dirac the character thinks of his fellow companions or their actions should ever be construed as my thoughts on my fellow players or their actions

Right, just barely had time to write those last posts and PM:s, got to hurry to work now. Hope I didn't miss anything.
Just to be clear, the conversation with Greeban takes place as Dirac fetch the drinks, not after he has joined you at the table.

Have fun! And to also be clear about Dirac's actions, he only filled you lot in on what he told Greeban, not what Greeban told him...yet. I have an idea on how to do that involving the rooms (basically, take Corwyn up to 'show him the room' and spill selected information to the darklander, hoping the darklander can play chinese whispers during the evening wit hthe NAK. However, better let others post first I guess! Corwyn especially since he is currently taking the lead

I notice I tend to confuse east and west in my posts, but hopefully I've edited them all now. Just to be clear about the geography here, if you have the map in Dawn of the Dragons (or look it up on Project Aon) you are in the forest about 25 miles north of Vanamor. You followed the main road from the city that goes slightly to the north-east, then turned west into a road not marked on the map. That road leads to Oakton, and continues further west. I hope that is clear. I blame Joe Dever, who put the Darklords in the west, when every author of traditional fantasy (not to mention modern fiction) knows the Bad Guys live in the east (er... fiction, that is, no offense to anyone!) That tends to make me confused when thinking about directions in Magnamund.

Well, to be fair to that point, Vassagonia and Shadakai ARE both on the east coasts of Northern and Southern Magnamund, respectively.

It depends on where you live. After all, if you live in Japan, you have Russia and China to the west and the USA to the east

To Taden:
Ahem, the good reverend might like you, but giving food and shelter in his house to a pilgrim is one thing; hand over the key to the church to a total stranger is asking a bit much. That sort of thing calls for Diplomacy checks with some serious modifiers, unless you have some other means of persuasion...

That sort of thing calls for Diplomacy checks with some serious modifiers, unless you have some other means of persuasion... No need. After all, the foolish priest told me exactly what I was curious about, namely the presence of a potential wealth source in the temple's contents. That was a useful final piece of information purchased at a fairly minor cost. Further it came with the bonus of a future resource who might believe Taden a pious soul. I did say Taden was not going to be finding religion anytime soon.

In reference to one of yesterday's posts, I think it wildly unlikely that a temple of Ishir would have undead anywhere within its limits!

LMAO! Yeah, come on, you need an invitation necromancer? Raise some distractions! Eh, it's only a temple to Ishir cause people said it was - maybe it is evil! Churches always are. Oh, and Dirac, having no clue about the darklanders, fully knows its pointless to go after a week old dhorse trail, but also can believe the NAK could track it. And as a player I have no clue what Corwyn could do to entice good information on direction from Gumders, so Dirac also has no clue if it's possible to do something that extreme! And can I just say to Slavemaster love the NPC characters and flavour of the place so far IT's nice not to just walk into a cut out village that is there for us, makes it more dangerous for a start if we step in the middle of something!

Thank you for your kind words I like describing places and people. I, in turn, would like to compliment you for your eye for detail and understanding about what's going on, or might go on. I thought all that detail I put in Greeban's story was going to confuse you more than help you. Also, I think we should give Hawk's Bane and Soul Spawn a chance to catch up.
