And here is another one, with regard to the wearing of armour, can one wear loose clothing over light armour? Generally, yes. It doesn't have any consistant mechanical effect persay, one way or the other, though there may be circumstance related benefits or consequences (the most noteworthy consequence that comes to mind is the significant increase in difficulty of removing that armour in a timely fashion, if such haste is needed). But it is reasonably possible so long as the clothing is selected/made for that intent (it is probably not going to look fashionable, because even "light" armour does add to the bulk of the character).

The reason I ask is that I intended to mix and match outer clothing to create a camouflaged look - hence in my initial equipment description I had both a brown and green set of explorers outfits. I know that this would have no impact on anything relating to the mechanics of the game, but I thought it would be good RP, so wanted to make sure the mechanics of the game would not impact upon that.
As for looks, Alba could care less. He is a Forester, he likes being in the woods with nature.

Okay, if you are going for a deliberate camouflage look, that is fine in my game. Anytime you are wearing such in an appropriate environment, you may add a +2 equipment bonus to Stealth skill checks in cases where you might be seen.

Really? That is very generous GM! I was also planning on carrying a small charred stick to cam my face up as well, but I figured a burnt stick was not going to cost me anything!

Does Alba count as a Knight of the Shield for Ector's Defensive/Offensive Formation specials?

How about the Vakeros? He's a knight...he's got a shield...

That is the weakness of the Knight of the Shield, a lot of their bonuses are best when working with other KOTS, but they still work with non-KOTS

There I was thinking the weakness of the class was having only slightly more skill points than the average doorknob. Oh well, I still get a formation bonus, it's just +1 instead of +2. First person to laugh when the missing point causes me to whiff six consecutive attack rolls gets a six-foot pike up the jacksy.

and your allies get it too, do they not? I thought that was one of the more interesting aspects of those abilities, is that they help out those fighting alongside you as well.

Yes, the bonus goes to adjacent allies as well. It's basically a free offensive or defensive buff, providing the characters stay in position.

A general LWRPG rules question - does a weapon need to be Mastercrafted or Superior quality to be eligible for enchantment? Captain Cearmaine's stats in the article to be published in Rising Sun 18 include a sword that does +3 to damage only, but I have suggested changing it to a Superior Sword +1 (the same as Ector's main weapon).

Thanks, I knew I'd read a rule to that effect somewhere.
