Ok, it will be a little bit off it it comes (because there are two active games and no spare players) but.... I would like to host a game Since it will be my first LW RPG GMing experience, I'd like to pull a zipp and go for the Helghast game, except instead of the existing Ragadorn tavern game, it will be based in a shop, and called 'a night to forget' Six players seems a good number for this sort of thing. The characters will be ones I generate. Some will be obvious character classes, and some will be just innocent ordinary members of the public. Oh, did I mention it was a Helghast game? So yeah, any character could infact be a Helghast. Infact I will say it now, I will not pull a Zipp, there will be a player played Helghast. You will find yourself in a prestigeous yet out of the way shop of curios at the end dof a day, when... Ah, that would be telling. Character level will be set from 5 - 8 (yup, thast's right, not only do you not know who they really are, you won't know how powerful they are either). It shall all be good fun of solving the current crisis together while always sharpening your blades looking to someone's back while watching your own. Anyone interested or wanting more details, please yell. Edit: Not currently being attempted, thoiugh the same name got attached to a similar style of game here: rpol.net/game.cgi?gi=45184&date=1314393176

That's a shame, imagine the fun if you were picked to be the Helghast This is also relying on my free time to manufacture the game from scratch and go more into the GM rules, so it really does look like later in the year (if house stuff doesn't push it to later than that). My first proper long periods of free time for creation are still reserved for As and Dharn's stories from last year as it is!

I'd sign up for this, sure. Sounds like it's unlikely to conflict with Maerin's game.

If it is later in the year then, then I may be able to play, it is just that right now I am stretched about as thin as possible without snapping.

I'd suggest holding it back until the two current games reach their conclusion anyway. That would give the players more freedom to mix things up and change groups, and also keep the forum's momentum going. And judging by the hints on here about Maerin's previous GMing, quite a few of us will be in need of new characters!

Kai Lords game must have gone what, three years?

Wow, I thought a game would take a few months. Oh well, I have a feeling Ector's role will only last until his first "easy" leap across a deep chasm.

Yeah, the plan is for later in the year, which will allow the two current games to find their feet and rythmn TO anyone else, one of the beauties of these sorts of games, Helghast threat aside, is that they are much easier places to learn the LW RPG or even d20 system - players are 'alone' so aren't holding up the group if they are unsure abotu their skills, and there is less to worry about as you are not in the thick of combat and your characters are already rolled - you can just slip into the game and character and tread water simply roleplaying

Well, although the ToI game has temporarily stalled, the other two games being hosted, AS's game, a general lack of creative drive atm and potential house moving soon all put this game as happening sometime early next year instead. Edit: Given I've just started DMing on a different forum and everyone else is sorta tied up, this game isn't likely to happen any time soon Edit2: This game morphed in to this one instead, with no real similarities to it except for the name and the one-shot nature. Oh, and with Zipp playing it, there was a Helghast game slant to it after all (unintended at the time!) rpol.net/game.cgi?gi=45184&date=1314393176
