How would you all like to change your characters into Kai Lords?
Let me explain why. Mongoose have sent me the Lone Wolf Multiplayer Gamebook documents so that we may playtest it. Now, the rules are basically the same as what I came up with for this game, except that initially only the Kai Lord 'class' is available (more 'classes' will become available at a later date).
We basically have a few options here. Everyone can change their character into a Kai Lord, and I can alter the story slightly to fit this change in group dynamics, and we can all playtest the Multiplayer Gamebook.
Or, if not everyone wants to change, I can start a second game with a different story where everyone is a Kai Lord. However, in this case I know that some of you are busy and will want to drop from this game, in which case it may well die without any players.
Or, if no one wants to playtest (!) I can put out a call for other players and run both this game with you guys and the playtest game with those who want to play.
Your thoughts?

Aha! You know, I had an inkling there was something more to this then you were letting on Good to hear that the 'goose want to use as peons for playtesting Anyway, I have oodles of time so Im up for both either way. Im kinda attached to Dirk so would like to continue with him, and to see what ideas you had for Children of Light.

To be honest the playtest documents were only sent to me last week, after I had set up the game

I'm in. Any excuse to reroll my crappy COMBAT SKILL.
Edit: oops, wrong profile. Ah well, you know who I am.

Wow, that's pretty incredible.
I'd like to continue to see where your story and Coll and the others head, but it seems like too good an opportunity to pass up. I'd be down for both, but if I had to choose one I'd guess playtesting would be the way to go. I'll abide by your decision, Crymson, since your time commitment would be above and beyond the rest of us.

I'd like to stick with the current game, but if you do split I'll swap over to the Kai Lord game

Well, while I kind of like Lukav, he is but four posts and a background thus far, so he can easily be put on ice for a bit and inserted into another game sometime. We could in fact put the whole game on ice and go for the playtesting....? Though that does mean Crymson coming up with a whole new story - probably rather inconvenient at short notice. Basically, I'm easy - play-testing would be the most sensible way to go I suppose, since it performs a service whilst we have fun. Crymson - would all-Kai-Lords be a requirement for the play-test so that we'd be using ONLY stuff from the MPGB? Would it make a difference if it was something like three Kai Lords and two of your classes? Or does that mess up the testing?

All Kai Lords is a requirement.
I am happy to run both games side-by-side. I'll probably cheat a little and run the playtest game based on Flight from the Dark (we can call it Not-Quite-A-Lone Wolf lol).
I would like to keep this game running as well, but if too many of you only want to play the one game I'll have to pause it for the time being.
How many people ar ehappy to play both games? If need be I can relax the one-post-a-day requirement on this game to give everyone time to play in both.

Well, I'd personally prefer not to have yet another game running at the same time as all these other ones, but will go with the general flow of opinion. I can always suicide a character if I start feeling overwhelmed.

As doomy says!
I'm not using my comp at work atm, and my net is still being weird at home, so I'm more conscious of running two games plus AS's contest on the tots. For now I'll keep both going toes in if this game is still going, and if I need to can absent Callum

I'd be happy to commit to both

OK, both it is.
I'll get the next game setup shortly. As I said it'll be based on Flight from the Dark.

Will having players who know FFTD back-to-front-and-inside-out cause any problems? Just asking, since most of us do.
Heck, I only recently did a complete section-by-section breakdown of the thing for Project Aon.

Plus character knowledge does not equal player knowledge! If you don't have the meta-game distractions, you can settle down fully into a case of WWMICD (what would my idiot character do)
