Ok thanks. I dont remember seeing how hit-points work/are allocated. Do you keep a secret tally then tell us "oh you're dead", or do we have a hit-point score we can keep track of?

When you take damage, you take it to your stats.
So if you did take the three damage, you have to choose which stats take that damage. For instance, you may end up with:
3 mental 1 combat 1 tough 2 skill
You always make sure you know your maximum stats, though (so 1/2 for combat, for instance), because you can heal.

Ah yes, just read that bit again. Guess I'll take the damage to Mental for now, since I got hit while casting a spell (makes sense to me character-wise).

But wait a minute, didn't you use laumspur? Taken immediately after combat like that, it should heal up to 5 damage, and thus you shouldn't have to take any.

Oh I thought that was during combat only. Since I took the laumspur after combat I thought it only healed 2. Unless your counting the healing time as immediately after combat. In that case, ok. I'llsve my EXP for something else then

Well, technically you're right, it's when you recieve the damage and you're deciding whether to roll dice or not. But this time, being the first combat and all and since it was the last round in which you took damage, I decided to give you some leeway.

Weapon - spear Every combat, you basically get two free points. You can put these into damage or more dice, your choice. So, your spear could be +1 damage and +1 die, or +2 d, or +2 dice. When I say +2 dice, I literally mean two more dice, not +2 to the rolls. So for your dodge, you would get a total of 5 rolls, 2 from your Combat of 2, 2 from your spear, and 1 from the freebie. But see the main post. You don't even need to roll this turn if you're not attacking.

Oh ok, kinda threw me a little, plus I was a little dissapointed that I rolled a 1 and had to add 2 to it (cause of switch-ups, and I thought we were in combat). Nevermind, Im literally just doding this round. Next round will be ranged lightning attacks.

What happens when a stat reaches 0? At this rate the party is gonna be a wizard down rather quickly.....

You're not dead until all stats are at 0, however when a stat reaches 0 there are the consequences of having such a low score:
If Mental is at 0, any point of insanity will bring you to the next level, so you go nuts pretty fast. You also can't use abilities that use Mental, without spending insanity. If Combat is at 0, you can't roll dice in Combat without using insanity. If Toughness is at 0, you don't get any dice when resisting damage, unless you use insanity. When Skill is at 0, you can't make any kind of skill check without using insanity.

Before I act, is it possible to channel a lightning hand through my spear so it does extra electric damage? Just wondering if its possible or worth it as obv it would be down to a hit roll to get the extra dmg....

It's one of those things that would make for a nice description when you make the attack, but wouldn't actually change any mechanics.
By the way, made a skill roll for you... you've definitely got reason to be suspicious of Meldorac's wanting to keep the Drakkar alive. Especially after his strange comments to the Commander.
