Sun Snake takes position at the front again, gripping his axe.
"Should we move swiftly on known tracks, or risk the time to cut into the undergrowth again?"

'With all the fresh activity perhaps we should stay off the known paths.'

You set off again on your journey, hacking through the undergrowth.
I would like both Sun Snake and Swift Otter to pick a random number, due to the fact you both have Animal Kinship and Tracking

Running Bear keeps to the earlier formation as much as the terrain will allow, ready to protect his Kai brethren from any hostiles they encounter.

Sun Snake catches a glimpse of some small tracks on the ground. Investigating, he sees they belong to at least to Kakarmi, semi-intelligent and friendly forest dwelling creatures. They lead off to the west.

"Here, I have something," whispers Sun Snake to his fellow guide. "Kakarmi travelling west if I read the tracks correctly. Would they know the safest path in the forest? Would they have subtle shelter unseen by Giaks?"

"Well, they are unlikely to be in the employ of the Darklands at least," says Running Bear, trying to rekindle his former cheerfulness in the face of their desperate plight. "Let us follow their trail for a while."

Swift Otter nods. "They may know much better than us which parts of the forest the spawn have entered. The forest is greater even than an army from the Darklands; it may yet keep us safe us on our journey."

The tracks lead west for several hundred yards until they cross a trail running north-south. Sun Snake notices that the tracks have disappered, however; whether this is because the Karkami stopped here or due to the fact that they trail is covered in the tracks of Giak feet, you are unsure.
Can everyone with Sixth Sense make a test.

Sun Snake curses at the new Giak tracks and holds his axe steady and high - his eyes and ears scan for any noises in the forest. He sees his fellow warriors are straining other senses too.
