Right, assuming he can manage it, Meldorac's plan is to rush in to the building, drawing the crowd. He'll try to make it to the broken window, which is now conveniently opened plus has hopefully some nice jagged areas to loop a rope around.
He'll then tie a quick knot, and jump/abseil out. At worst, he avoids a round of combat them gets himself in to a higher elevation to strike out at the mob without getting swarmed or touched by their grubby mits.
At best, he draws them aay from the rest, so Gregor and Bonnie can do some damage or get those horses back or find a route to escape with.
Maybe.

Okay, based on Meldorac's actions, my proposed resolution is this: Meldorac makes it to the building, with the crowd following. However, before you can tie the rope, you'll have to engage in another round of combat with horde 2.
Gregor, you resist one damage with those rolls, so take 3 damage, ouch! Don't know if you have any healing potions left. You can now declare actions. Horde 4 will be targetting you again, so you either have to dodge or return fire. You can cast offensive magic, and your shield is still in place against the horde.

Greg, try not to die right now. Owain is too busy to heal anyone at the moment.
Edit: Though if you DO get killed, I want my book back.

I have no problem with that, it's an involved set of actions I guess Mel probably got to see the arm severing / no reaction will probbaly chance his squemishness about not hurting the 'innoncent' people.
Especially since all the supposidly good people are going ape on them already!
Dodge roll (no dagger) while typing rope (1d20=11, 1d20=7, 1d20=11, 1d20=15)
11+15, 7 - 11 kept for resisting switch up.
Right, time to stop skiving at work...too much facts and figures and problem solving brainstorming, need constant breaks! That's my excuse anyway

Actually, you may want to use the 9 to cause a switch up, which it would very likely win?

I'll give Gregor a bit to debate that, though I'm afraid our mage may have gone to bed for the night.

Hopefully my present won't be another round of damage. Which reminds me, Meldorac... what is the eventual desire purpose of your current running away tactics? Currently it seem the zombies are just gonna keep following you. You are leading them on a merry chase, but I want to make sure I'm not skimping you on some bonus or grand scheme.

The idea was to either draw enough of them away that Bonnie and Gregor would be free, or to get some3 terrain advantage by swinging away from them outside the window, or swinging over their heads if they stayed put.
Having only a small group peel off is not the best outcome, sounds like Meldorac will have to be braced on the windowsill ready to swing away or abseiling down then without actually drawing people off and being in a position to rush away with the others!
He was really expecting all or nothing really! Oh well, gives him some good exercise

Round ResultsThough Owain had felled two of his attackers, the remaining three swarmed him before he could raise his staff again. Fists bludgeoned his body and face. His nose broke in a spray of blood. Pain momentarily staggered him. Behind him, Aram gave a mighty yell as he broke the living bonds that held him. Raising his sword, he hacked at the woman in front of him. Still she continued to scream her unnatural scream, even as she lost limbs in massive sprays of foul smelling blood. The blood that sprayed Aram's face was boiling hot. He ignored the pain and continued to hack at the body. Finally, Aram severed her head. Even then, the head continued to scream for a few seconds until finally gurgling to a halt. Outside of the ally, Gregor was doing his best to recover from the assault. Summoning his magics, he sent a bolt of lightning hurtling through the crowd. Even this did little to slow the advance of the enraged citizens, and they fell upon him again, shoving him to the ground and stomping upon him with their heavy boots. Sherri screamed at them to stop. She even ran forward to pull them away, but they shoved her aside. Otherwise, they ignored the girl. Meanwhile, though Gregor thought him dead, Meldorac had pushed through the crowd by staying low and keeping his body protected with his arms and hands rolled up by his shoulders. He had seen Bonnie run off towards the building, and moved to join her there. Entering, he could find no trace of the ranger, however. He hadn't long to contemplate her fate. Behind him, the mob poured into the building. He ran up the stairs, thinking to get out the window, but the mob reach him first. "Persistent buggers, aren't you?" Meldorac said with a sneer. Running was something he had experience in. For the first time since leaving Holmgard, he felt in his element. Horde 1 (Owain): 17 (2 saved) Horde 2 (Meldorac): 13, 1 Horde 4 (Gregor): 18+12 (1 saved)
Owain (horde 1): 16 (12+4) and save the 10. Meldorac (dodge horde 2): 11+15, 7 - 11 kept Gregor (lightning hand horde 4): 11, 12, save the 9 Aram (breaking free): Success
Horde 1 just beats out Owain. That's 1 damage to Owain. Roll toughness. Horde 2 is once again outwitted by Meldorac. And once again, I need what you're hoping to accomplish, Meldorac. This time, I'll give you probably more leeway, seeing as you've dodged twice in a row.
Gregor isn't so fortunate. Horde 4 overpowers him for another three damage. Roll toughness. Your shield is still active, so gain two extra toughness dice from that.
Aram, you're free! Now horde 1 will probably die
Aram, if you target horde 1, they won't be able to target Owain, and Owain will be free to cast magics. Neither of you can escape the ally without either a dodge roll or killing the horde blocking your way. If Aram doesn't target horde 1, they will target Owain.
For Meldorac and Gregor, it again depends on Meldorac's dodge actions.

Thanks, Zipp! That was kind of cool. I was expecting be tied up for 3 or 4 rounds, and I was very lucky to get out in two. Speaking of lucky...Breathing heavily, Aram wades into the mob that is attacking Owain, slinging his sword with an almost inhuman fury. His maddened blows rend the horde's flesh and cleave off limbs, yet somehow he manages to avoid hitting the priest in his berserk state. COMBAT roll (4 dice) attacking horde 1 with sword (1d20=8, 1d20=19, 1d20=7, 1d20=14) Okay, let's do 19+14=33 (saving the 8 and the 7)
