"Yes, we have to go," says Sir Aram, looking around wildly. "We have to go." He prepares to follow wherever Sherri leads.

"I wonder where I heard that before," mumbles Meldorac upon Gregor's comment, while looking unfavourably and worried and the knight's bloody state and jittery actions.

Sherri seems as frightened as the rest of you. "Not far from mother's," she says. "But oh god, what's happened here? I recognized some of those people! Why would they attack us? What if mother's..." Sherri starts to pace the streets, not offering any further directions, lost as she is in her own anxiety.
Another scream splits the air, and she drops to her knees, hands over her ears. If anything, the scream sounds closer this time.
It's probably obvious, but you guys probably want to get Sherri back on her feet and get everyone out of there. Notice my threat level.

Owain remains unmoving for a moment longer, until his chants are completed. He then opens his eyes and calmly addresses Sherri. "You are our guide, Sherri. We need you to take us to your home."

Yes, I had noticed that. Also the ominous music in the background. We're not ready to face a boss monster right now, especially with our mage half-dead.
"Let's go, let's go!" says Aram, leading the way in the direction they had been moving before they had investigated the crying in the alley. He calls to Gregor. "Carry her if you must, but we have to leave now!"

Meldorac seems glad of the movement, but slots in behind the rest of the group. He effortlessly moves swiftly in odd skips and runs while keeping his orientation behind them. He does not want to be taken unawares by anything again. He also remembers that the citizens inside the city were not their only concern. Kraan and riders may yet be unleashed by the army outside. Perception roll looking to the sky and buildings as they run passed them. (1d20=4, 1d20=12, 1d20=12, 1d20=11)Meh, what can you expect while running backwards looking everywhere!

Practically dragging Sherri behind him, Gregor took off after the companions. The roars continued behind them, and the world around them seemed to get darker with each passing second, as the shadows deepened around them from the failing sun.
In fact, Oasis seemed a completely different place out of the sun's light. The houses and streets seemed to be covered with dried blood. Each alley they passed resonated with the sounds of screams and curses. No stars shone in the sky above.
Ahead of them the path unfolded a step at a time, anything beyond that disappearing into gloom and unnatural darkness.
This seems like as good a time as any to end the scene. I'm gonna give the bonus for toughness this time around, as much of this scene was based around surviving until aid could reach you (Mel's dodging, Aram being trapped, Gregor taking it in the pants). I'm also awarding an extra point per horde defeated, which was three I believe. Four original hordes, one broke into two, making it five, and two ran off. So yeah, three.
Next scene will begin either tonight or tomorrow. Congratulations on surviving your first scene in Oasis!

Mel's ability to avoid damage, lure mobs, protect Sherri and not take actions to infect himself all leads him to a healthy EXP gain of 0!
Now I know how Aram felt last time

Says the person whose skill is in the toilet right now! We're all suffering, at least I have Owain to boost my toughness since we're all friends now. Well, as far as he knows
