The sooner, the better, since you're bound to acrue either damage or stress before long. But let's say sure. We're close to it, anyway.

Okay, thanks! I do intend to spend 2 Exp at the end of the scene to remove the stress point I've already gotten (unless I somehow end up with 15 or 16 Exp total after awards are given out at the end of the scene). The way I see it, even if lowering my MENTAL to 1 causes me to jump to The Brink before I can get enough Exp saved up to raise it to 2, I'll still spend less Exp than the 10 it would cost to buy the second skill that I could otherwise get for free (plus I'd get it sooner). I would have actually been able to use Crushing Blow in round two of the battle that just ended, but it wouldn't have made a difference - that attack was overkill already, as the dog only had 1 Health left at that point.

Yeah, he was very dead.
Looks like I'll have to work on your character through insanity. Of course, you'll also be using insanity to activate your most powerful techniques. By the way, your infection level is currently 1 after fighting the dogs. They had the plague. You can feel it as it enters your body. Remember that you are the only character who can track the progress of infection through his body. The others won't know if they've been infected.

You mean that not even the other Cener in the group can't monitor his/her own infection level?
Well, now I know that the other characters are infected too. Those who took damage from the dogs may even be more infected. Just have to keep at least one of them alive.
I will be swapping my SKILL and MENTAL stats, so I'll go ahead and change my character sheet. I do intend to raise MENTAL to 2 as soon as possible, and don't intend on using my gnarly Cener powers in the near future. They're better saved for when my infection level is higher anyway.
This means I do have Crushing Blow: +1 damage when I do damage with a number over 25 (I take it this means that 25 exactly isn't good enough, and I need at least a 26). In theory this could happen more than once per round if I have enough dice.

The other Cener has other abilities. Quite powerful ones. Think stat-affecting without chance of rolling toughness. Now imagine these getting stronger as the infection grows. Thus, he doesn't get the same clues as you. His abilities are harder to use.
But I've said too much. Keep your eyes open.

Yeah, I think I know who it is now. I already suspected him before, and this is another piece of the puzzle. Of course, Sir Aram has no idea who the other Cener is, as he wasn't present in the Prologue and the first two scenes.

Who do you think it is? You don't have to share, if you don't want to, just curious to see my player's line of thought. Of course, I probably won't even respond...

Probably Meldorac, though I could easily be wrong. Owain would be my second guess. At this point it is mainly a guess, however, based on the characters' behavior so far. Aram wasn't around long enough to observe most of it, though he has been spying on them, apparently. How much exactly does he know about what the others have done in the Prologue and the first two scenes?

I would say you know EVERYTHING, because you were spying on them with your spirit (the one that scared the merchant to death). The spirit has peskily disappeared recently, a small cause for concern, as it could've been captured by a rival sorceror.

I just realized something. The spirit I was spying on them with would have seen all of the things they did in private in the earlier scenes (Bonnie searching the guardhouse and Owain going up to get the crossbow in Scene 2, for instance). What other information do I know that wasn't on the public boards?

For simplicity's sake, we'll state the spirit only saw things which were public. The spirit could only be in one place at a time, after all. It stuck with the main group and didn't go with any of the break-offs.

It looks like I only get 2 additional Exp for Scene 3, giving me a total of 4. The stress points I took will put me at 1 (The Brink), so I'll use 2 Exp to remove that stress point, leaving me at 0 (The Brink) with 2 Exp saved.
With my horse gone, do I still have my lance?

You do indeed still have the lance. We'll say you brought it inside. I'm not gonna be THAT cruel. You haven't even had a chance to impale anything yet, and where's the fun in taking that away?

Aram, you mentioned a special ability, and I remember coming up with one that would explain the extra damage, but your character sheet just shows rapid healing. What's the deal?
