At this point I'll give Gregor the 4 corruption points, leaving me with 2 infection and completing the trifecta of corrupting all of the PCs in the party. That'll give me some time to build my infection up again before I have to recorrupt them, and it will also reduce the risk of losing my investment if my new lackeys die on me. Gregor seems likely to hit 20 infection before long anyway. By sparing his life, I earned some respect from the others and had this chance to get some extra Exp. When he dies I'll get the 2 Exp at that point. Corrupting him is worth far more.

I like the way you think. Gregor has 4 corruption points. And yes, you sense he's about to die from the plague.

If I had known Gregor was that close to death, I probably would have only given him 2 corruption. No matter, I probably get more Exp for giving him 4.
Strange, thinks Aram to Shaetano. Robert Mason said Sera Veshin was one of the Five. Was he lying, or mistaken? Or are the rebels mistaken? If Sera Veshin indeed turned down the position, who occupies it now?

Why don't you ask her yourself? If I'm not very much mistaken, if we can find a way out of this room, you'll be seeing her soon enough.

Watch the priest. I don't trust that necklace for a second.

Aram, you feel very distinctly that none of you should stay in this room any longer, that to do so will be fatal, though you can't elaborate why.

Shaetano, do you know anything about this horseman or how its attention may be diverted? thinks Aram.

Since Owain currently has 4 Corruption thanks to me, can I influence him to use the Screamers to draw the Rider away if he won't do it on his own?

Sorry I missed these.
Shaetano's presence has rescinded since you've gone up a level of stress. His departure has left you with a strange sense of clarity. Through your corrupted influence you can tell that one of the companions knows your true role at this point and is seeking to kill you in this or the next chapter as per their secret goal. However, your mental state is keeping you from knowing which companion this is. If you roll a Mental check, I can maybe give you more information, or you could spend a couple stress to get the answer immediately.

MENTAL roll (2 dice) to figure out who wants me dead (1d20=12, 1d20=9) I hope that gives me something, since I'm not taking any more Stress at this point. I have a pretty good idea of who it is anyway. I'm planning to get my sanity back up between scenes regardless, as I should have a boatload of Exp coming in for corrupting all of my companions - I've already completed my goal, but whoever is trying to kill me clearly hasn't yet. Will I get additional insight once I'm sane again?

Well, for now you're going to have to go off your own instinct. There will be blood next chapter.
