Before Exp is spent or before it's given out? If before it's given out, then I'll use that to restore my MENTAL point and get the extra Exp, which should go back to Owain since he ended up not needing to give it to me in the first place. If it's after Exp is given out but before it's spent, then I wouldn't have gotten that extra Exp point in the first place.

Simultaneously. EXP is given at end of scene, which is also when Owain's healing takes effect. The grab is meant to be just that: a rush for extra EXP. It's a chance for players to spurn each other more or to work together, their choice.
Keep the point. You might want it later.

Every time a party member dies, I'm going to award you EXP. You get more if you were somehow involved in the death. Take 2 for Meldorac, and 1 for Bonnie (who may or may not be dead).

Cool beans, thanks! I have been trying to protect them, as I do need at least one to survive. More would be nice just in case, but if the wrong people survive it might complicate matters.
I would have had 4 Exp total before this scene started, which would have given me an extra point of healing that I would have used to get my SKILL up to 2. Since I should have gotten these Exp then, can I heal the point retroactively and gain an additional die to each SKILL check I've made so far?

No, I'm awarding the EXP now and putting the policy into place now. Though you're getting EXP for past events, they aren't being given retroactively.
Anyway, with the right plan, I'll probably give you a bonus to your rolls based off of (a) good plan and (b) your physical strength. And don't forget Gertwiller.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it... this seems like an awesome time for you to pull out your Cener abilities and whoop this crowd of zombies. Think about it... everyone else is out of eye-sight, they won't see the power activated. And slaughtering the undead with the power of plague and hell would be much more fun than dodging, wouldn't it?

If I did that, it would cost me 2 Stress. I could escape automatically AND attack a zombie by taking 1 Stress, and even that's too much at the moment. I don't really need to attack another zombie this round, I just need to get down the stairs. I still think I should be able to escape even if I get hit this time. I announced my fighting retreat last round, and that was the first chance I had to do so (no zombies were inside until that point). I should be at the top of the stairs at the moment, and dodging should still get me at least partway down the stairs, even if I get hit in the process. Besides, if I'm going to use my Cener abilities, I'm not going to waste them on some sword-fodder zombies (and they'll improve as my infection level climbs too).

Okay, I'll buy that. If you dodge this round, I'll give you a free "to-the-stairs" card.

Since I'm not able to be online for 18 hours out of every 24 during the week, clearly I'm going to need to post a contingency action here. If someone starts up the portal, Aram will rush through it this round after Gregor. Right before he enters, he will yell "I'll catch up with the mage! He shall die for his treachery!"

Hmmm... Owain's actions seem to supersede your own, considering position. What do you want to do?

I guess it's too late now, though I declared that action a week ago. I simply have to go through the portal next, there's no way around that.
