Remember when I swapped my SKILL and MENTAL stats so that I could have Crushing Blow as my second special ability? That does +1 damage each time I use a number that's above 25. It's not on my character sheet because you posted it and, strangely enough, I can't edit your posts.

Those powers won't help me at this point. It doesn't matter what powers I use or even if I roll perfectly, the fight is now literally unwinnable. See my post on the main board.

You've been playing Aram so well, I'd be willing to give you a "get out of hell free" card, that if you die here, you would come back at the end of the scene with 1 life left. You'd still get EXP, so though you'd have to be careful for a bit until you found some healing items, you'd still be Aram.

Thanks, that would rock! It's also very much in keeping with his character build. Of course, that's until I find healing items or heal naturally (through Rapid Healing, Owain's abilities, and Exp spending). If I survive this combat round and finish off Spikey (who also doesn't know when to die), I stand a decent chance of surviving against Cheney. The big bad beastie you've been saving the remaining threat for is another matter...this could easily become a TPK if Aram goes down.
I had already been thinking of other possible character ideas in the event that Aram dies. When I was first interested in the game, one of the character ideas I had thought of was a Border Ranger, and another idea occurred to me. If Aram ever dies in a later scene, could I play Bonnie?

Good timing, then! That's the second time I've saved an abandoned NPC from death in the nick of time by offering to play her. Of course, even if I do end up playing her, she might still die a particularly gruesome death.

My Rapid Healing special ability applies at "the end of the scene." Does this take effect before Exp are dished out so that I can apply the point of healing to MENTAL and get the extra 1 Exp I need in order to heal another point of damage, or am I going to be stuck being crippled with 3 Exp left over?

Since Owain gave back one of those Exp points for me, I guess it doesn't matter as much whether Rapid Healing kicks in before or after Exp were awarded, but it is a question that will need to be answered eventually. If Rapid Healing does go first, then I'd have 1 Exp left over which I'll return to Owain. Otherwise, I'm spending all of it.
Total Exp: 4 (saved) + 5 (pool) + 15 (individual) + 0 (current MENTAL) = 24
Reducing insanity level by 2, from The Descent to The Calm (12 Exp) Healing from Owain: 1 MENTAL Healing from Rapid Healing: 1 COMBAT Healing from Exp: 2 COMBAT, 1 SKILL (12 Exp)
